Approving Your Custom Design

Understanding Your Scale Drawing & Design Approval

Before your custom insert goes into production, we want to make sure everything looks just right! Our scale drawings give you a chance to review your design, confirm the details, and request any necessary adjustments.

Step 1: Review Your Scale Drawing

We'll provide a detailed drawing showing your custom insert's design and measurements.

Take a moment to double-check:

- Dimensions: Are the width and height correct?

- Design: Does the pattern look the way you expected?

- Details: Are the border width, bar thickness, and quantity correct?

If something doesn't look quite right, just let us know! We're happy to discuss adjustments before moving forward.

Step 2: Understanding 6" × 10" Design Samples

Our 6" × 10" samples are a great way to see a design in person before committing to a full-sized insert.

However, some of our designs were originally created for much larger openings.

Why does this matter?

Simply cropping a small section from a larger pattern can make the sample look incomplete or unbalanced.

Instead, we may proportionally scale down the entire design to fit the sample dimensions while preserving its overall character.

This gives you a better representation of the full pattern rather than just a small portion of it.

Have a particular detail in mind? You're welcome to request specific sizing or proportions for individual design elements!

Step 3: Approve Your Design

Once you've reviewed your drawing and are happy with the measurements and layout, let us know you're ready to move forward.

Your approval helps us make sure we're creating the insert you envisioned before fabrication begins.

Please note that production of your order will not begin until both the scaled drawing and finish are approved. This improves accuracy and helps you get your order as soon as possible!
